I grew up in Sarasota, Florida attending Sarasota High School and attended the Ringling College of Art and Design. Following graduation I interned on the Little Mermaid. Adventure called and I joined the Army and served during Operation Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia as the regiment illustrator for a special operations helicopter unit.

After a return to Disney in 1996 I worked on Mulan, Tarzan, Lilo & Stitch, the Emperor's New Groove, Brother Bear, John Henry and the Little Match Girl. Upon the close of the studio in Orlando I went freelance full time and that's where I am today. I've written an animated children's book for the iPad and it should be out in December of 2014. I'm also the official cartoonist of Stuff, mascot of the Orlando Magic! I currently live in Sarasota with my wife Norayda and son Austin.
