Traditional Pavement Artist
An accomplished street painter, Carolyn Schultz “chalks” throughout the United States for special events, art festivals and media events. She was introduced to chalk painting in 1996 and was quickly hooked on the ephemeral nature and the performance aspect of street painting. “Public reaction and input while I paint is the greatest reward of street painting and is what keeps me coming back time after time.” Beyond street painting she also creates murals, portraits and an occasional painting “just because”. A sampling of her achievements include Best of Show at the 2008 and 2009 Family Days Festival sponsored by Art Haus in Port Orange, Florida; First Place for Reproduction of a Master at Disney Festival of the Masters in 2009; and invitation as a featured artist at the 2010 Colors of Willemstad in Curacao, West Indies.
