Sarasota Infioriata! - A Moment within a Moment

This is a single magnificent infiorata installation using 1350 flowers and local natural materials with assistance from Madonnari artists - NOT A FESTIVAL - but still wonderful!

📍 543 S. Pineapple Avenue, Sarasota, FL in the Burns Square district | the installation will be in front of the Fountain Kitchen & Wine Bar by the fountain at the intersection of S. Orange & S. Pineapple Avenues
📅 June 11th Thursday evening & 12th Friday evening will be the separation of Flower between 6 PM and 10 PM or later!  Saturday June 13th we will be starting the installation of the flower carpet starting around 5 PM and work through the night and into Sunday morning. Sunday June 14th will be the viewing day and celebration till 9 PM! 

Join us as a spectator or participant for one of Sarasota's most unique artistic experiences.

Over 1,350 flowers and locally sourced natural materials will be transformed into a stunning flower carpet with painted surfaces in the heart of Burns Square. Throughout the day and into the night, artists will work side by side, bringing intricate designs to life petal by petal.

Thursday & Friday Evenings 7 PM - 9 PM the pealing of petals and organizing natural materials
Saturday 5 PM throughout the night and into Sunday Morning the placement of petals and artwork creating a shared flower carpet!***

More than an art installation, Infiorata Sarasota Flower Carpet is a celebration of shared practice—artists supporting artists and honoring a creative tradition that connects communities across generations. It is a gathering built on **creative kinship**, where makers, volunteers, and visitors come together on **common ground** to create something beautiful and meaningful.

This living artwork serves as an installation of appreciation for those who dedicate themselves to this art form, while offering reflections on a practice that continues to inspire and evolve. As the designs emerge, visitors will discover echoes and inspirations woven throughout the carpet—stories of creativity, collaboration, and cultural connection.

Whether you're helping place petals, watching the artwork take shape, or simply enjoying the atmosphere, you'll be in good company.
