Traditional Pavement Artist

Melissa Aldan is a Visual Art and Cartooning teacher at Manatee School for the Arts. Originally from around Pittsburgh, PA, she moved to the Bradenton Area to teach. She received both a BFA in Visual Arts and a BS in Elementary Education from Slippery Rock University of PA. She also studied illustration, graphic design, and animation at Edinboro University of PA. A life-long learner, she most recently graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a Masters in Illustration/Design. Her goals for the future are to be able learn as much as she can about illustration and work in the illustration field, large or small, as well as continue to teach.
