Jeanie Burns is a freelance graphic designer who makes her home in West Palm Beach. A self-taught artist, she studied art history and Italian at Florida State University and in Florence, Italy, where she was captivated by the portraits of Renaissance and Baroque masters. “I was mesmerized by the eyes within portraits, and would marvel at the incredible details and subtlety of light painters could render.”

Jeanie is an 18-year chalk art veteran and most often chooses portraits when she works on asphalt, which requires a close examination of details that might otherwise be unnoticed within an image. Based on this examination, she created this series, EYESEEYOU, to celebrate the details that first captured her imagination.
